| The Automobile MPEG Player, or A.M.P., is a simple concept thought up by
teenagers acheing to make an enxpensive way to get your favorate MPEG sound files and play
them in your vehicle. A.M.P. breaks all conventional rules of car stereo systems and
provides an ideal source of music. Why spend hunderds to thousands of dallors to buy CD's
when you can download your favorate songs right off the internet? |

| The how-to is making progress. I jsut wanted to post a picture of the LCD
and the circuit which allows it ot comunicate with teh parallel port. It is under the [PICTURES] section. The
picture was taken before i got a casing for it. I also simplified the schematic for the
LCD... its a lot easier for those of you wihout too much electronics knowledge to
understand now. It right here. |

| Rick Tuinenburg has been kind
enough to make a program for me that creates the mp3.lst file. It can be downloaded here. Just extract it to your
windows directory, goto your mp3 directory in a dis box, and type in "mp3list".
It will create the mp3.lst file in the directory you are in. I also have recieved another
mp3.lst file creator that is GUI based, but i have to check on webspace before i upload
it(its 1meg). If anyone emales me and doesnt recieve a resopnse within 3 days, just email
me again. Its kind of hard to keep track of whose email i have and have not replied to. I
plan to have the how to done in about a week or so. I'll have most of it done by monday. I
also plan to give this site a new look and re write the current pages. Also, I have
recieved several emails liek this one:
"all the mp3 hw-freakz should work 2gether in an teamwork mp3-site
for telling other people to build and design mp3playaz.
we also should work out an standart file and update managing system!
now, when existing not so much playaz we can do this easyli."
I might be interested in starting a messsage board of some type for mobile mp3 stuff. Let me know what you think....

| I updated the mp3.zip file. it now does not come with the system files.
